Illustration Workshop with Aiko Ikegami

Creating Something Out of Nothing

Join local illustrator and children's author of "Seed Man" and "Friends" Aiko Ikegami for a watercolor, storytelling workshop for adults and children of all ages. (under age 6 must be accompanied by an adult) In this workshop we’ll work on boosting our imagination and creativity using watercolor as medium. 

Walking transportation is available for Barrington students.

Always want to learn more about pastels?

Join local artist Tina Husted as she shares her passions for pastels. This special  3 week class designed for Adult/Child will have a focus on light and nature and walk you through various techniques and processes to explore this vast medium. All supplies included. Ages 8 & up.

Sundays, July 22, & 29 & Aug 5th. 6:30-8 p.m.

$75/per parent & child / $10 each additional student

Aminah's World Workshop

Join us to honor the former Columbus artist Aminah Robinson. Aminah combined traditional art materials with found objects to create works of art inspired by her community. Collage materials will be available to create your own hanging collage. Local Artist Bryan Moss, will guide families in creating a community wall mural in Picassos Art Studio space. Spots are limited.

Be sure to stop by Cover to Cover Bookstore at 2 p.m. to meet Carole Genshaft and pick up your copy of "Aminah's World."

For the last decade, Nikos has been a leader in the Columbus arts community. The founding member of the Franklin Arts District and the original organizer of Urban Scrawl. His mixed media art using paint and paper has been in several exhibitions. He also founded Cave Bear Studio that has a decade of experience in special effects, prop making and fabrication.

Sunday Feb 11 with Laura Jacob • 4-5:30 p.m. 
Laura received her Bachelor of  Fine Art degree from Bowling Green State University. After serval years of experimenting with mixed media art, she began teaching herself the art of Encaustic Painting. She enjoys the versatility and unexpected surprises she discovers with using layers upon layers of wax.
