Through the eyes of a first grader...

first grade art

This was done by my daughter MacKenna in her art class at school (which by the way I feel so lucky we have such a great art program),  I love how she incorporated pattern, and filled the entire page. One thing I love about how kids approach art is their ability to embrace a blank page with no fear, as adults I think we often try to plan, and sometimes think too much, afraid we may mess up - kids don't think this way (at least at this age) and they just jump in - there's always more paper! Let's always encourage the no fear approach! Purple trees? Yes!
